G Irwin Company was founded in 1987 based on a love for gemstones. Isabel Irwin and her daughter , Ann Pardoe began by designing bead necklaces using all the glorious colors of stones that nature has provided. As time went on, demands of our customers shaped our new stock. One of the most frequent requests was for tourmaline, the Maine state gemstone, found here first in 1820.
